Guest guest
K, Hey! I am butting in on your conversation. I hope you don't have to wait too long to get into the pain doc. I had the same problem you are having with my docs not wanting to prescribe more than darvocet. That is like throwing water on an inferno. It does very little to help. I am in with a great pain doc in Augusta, GA. She has been a Godsend for me. When you do get in be truthful about your pain level so they can give you strong enough pain meds. I didn't know what to expect when I went and I don't think I asked for strong enough pain meds when I first started going to my pm doc. Now that I am on the right level it is much better. I still have pain but it is under better control. I still have to go to the ER sometimes to get something stronger. In fact, 2 times in the last 3 weeks. But, it is much better than it was. I have to have pancreas surgery again and I am praying that it will work this time. I hope you will be feeling better and that you don't have to wait much longer to get in with the doc!!!
