From the BTVC site: " Fresh pineapple juice that does not have sugar

added is allowed. We use Dole's unsweetened pineapple juice in the

can, as it has been checked out and does not have sugar added. Juice

should be diluted with water before drinking. "

If you would like to use a brand besides this that has been checked

out already you should ask for a letter from the company that confirms

it does not have added sweeteners.

How do you know this stuff about whats legal and whats

not? I have the book read it but nothing in there

talks about the brans. Like it says you can use spices

then I see in other areas it says you cant use certain

ones its so confusing to me. Thank You for your help I

needed it.

In the appendix of the book (BTVC) Dole pineapple juice and welch's

grape are listed as SCD legal by Elaine.

We have compiled the full list of legal commercial juices that

Elaine checked out at http://www.pecanbread.com/new/legalfoods1.html

Legal/illegal list is at

http://www.breakingtheviciouscycle.info/legal/legal_illegal_a-c.htm

Spices mixes are out because they may have illegals added - you need

to make your mixes (eg. homemade chili powder, curry powder, apple

pie spice mix..). Garlic and onion powder are illegal because they

usually have illegal free flow agents added to keep them from

clumping. Single spices are generally okay if unsure double check

the label and/or ask the list.
