Guest guest
When the nurse takes you back to the endoscopy suite and starts asking you questions just tell her point blank that you dont want to offend any body but that you have a history of being a very difficult stick and that you want somebody from anesthesia to start your IV using lidocaine. Explain to her/him that it usually takes several sticks to get one and the lidocaine makes is far less painful. Trust me she will understand. When I had my last ercp that I walked in for I did just that and they understood entirely. They dont want to torture you and prefer to know right off if you have that history of being hard to stick rather then make them go through all the frustration, for both of ya'll; of trying to start an IV. Please keep in touch and let me what happens. I still plan on coming to see you. My daughter's car broke down and is in the shop, she is driving my car so I am stuck up here in the boondocks with no transportation and its really getting on my nerves. My own personal Gulog! I should have my car back by wednesday, I better!
Guest guest
Thanks . I am sending you my cell phone number via E- mail. I will do exactly what you said. I am praying I just don't get anybody with an attitude. I know the last time I was in the hospital, I started to cry before I could even get it out of my mouth to numb it up. The nurse got me calmed down and said it was no big deal. I try and try but I am telling you, I hate it! You are such a great nurse ! You might not remember me when you see me (I hope you do) but I do remember you! Take care Kaye In pancreatitis , " " <cdrrn@c...> wrote: > > When the nurse takes you back to the endoscopy suite and starts asking > you questions just tell her point blank that you dont want to offend > any body but that you have a history of being a very difficult stick > and that you want somebody from anesthesia to start your IV using > lidocaine.
