Guest guest
I'm reading the Eat Well Feel Well cookbook by Kendall Conrad (with a foreward by Elaine). All recipes are SCD compliant. In this cookbook, Conrad says that cooking with Italian canned tomatoes is okay because European canning laws state that ANY sugars must be reported on the label. So--if the label says no sugar, then no sugar. She uses these tomatoes in lots of her recipes. My question is, does anyone on this list use them, or are they still sort of forbidden? I want to use them in a recipe for my husband's birthday, and I'll use them in a dish that my son will not eat. I'll eat it though--I'm nursing him, but I'm symptom-free. Any suggestions? Guest guest
I noticed your post and have a question, sorry no answers...you said you were nursing your child....have the doctors encouraged you to breast feed or is there a formula that would be as good a breast milk? (as far a gut issues?) should the mother be on the diet also if she is breast feeding....do you know of any information that would give me more info on this? hmsharp7 wrote: I'm reading the Eat Well Feel Well cookbook by Kendall Conrad (with a foreward by Elaine). Until it arrives it is safest to use fresh or frozen tomatoes. Sheila, SCD Feb. 2001, UC 23yrs, PCOD 22yrs mom of and
