Guest guest
john, and others, thank you so much for your advice.i am pretty new here, too.i was diagnosid in march and have been in the group since july. i do know what you mean about keeping a stash of pills though.i only have 10 lortabs left from when i was discharged from the hosp. (sept.22),and i'm not taking them unless i despertly need to. the other day my best friend wanted one cause she had a headache, and i told her i was'nt giving any away,i needed to save them for rough times and they are to hard to come by.(getting them from my dr. is what i mean)well, she acted kinda huffy about it and later on told my daughter i was stingy! like i said people don't understand how severe this pain can get and that some times the pills you have do'nt even help.i wish all i had was a d**n headache! i also know what you mean about being afraid of being alone during an attack.i'm home by myself during the day,but luckily everytime i've needed my hubby he comes sraight home from work.and i very rarley go anywhere alone for fear of having an attack while in public by myself.the most i'll do is run the kids somewhere, but we live in a small town,so i do'nt have to travel far.i have also gave up alcohol but not cigs (yet)!the really hard part is sticking to a low - fat diet.the few times i do get really, really hungry the only thing that sounds good is stuff i should'nt have.sometimes i eat it anyway and then pay the price!!oh well i'm learning! thaks again, and i hope you are doing well this evening! cindy
