Guest guest
If it's not one thing it's another....after a year of pain in my feet and not knowing what was causing it, except for the fact that if I wore shoes or socks it would aggravate it, I went to a Podiatrist 4 weeks ago. He told me I had Morton's Neuroma and I could wait or do a number of different things to try and correct it. As we are moving in 3 weeks, I decided to establish a consult/relationship with another podiatrist, closer to the area we are moving to for logical reasons....he confirmed what the other Dr said and the best option for me is surgery. So I am off to see the surgeon next week. Basically, two nerves have enlarged and caused benign tumours to grow around them and anything that puts pressure at any point on my foot causes bad cramping pain that isn't relieved until an hour or so after removing my shoes. I've been walking around the house in barefeet and wearing flip flops since May of last year and don't want to go through another winter of frozen feet or pain.. besides, it's getting worse and even wearing no shoes is not helping anymore... I think it is an overnight stay in hospital, but it won't be happening until I move out of this house and am ensconced in my father in law's house or our new house, whichever happens first. More than likely will be the second week of November. Six week recovery I've been told. It is happening with my left foot, but is not nearly as bad, so that gives me the ability to just have one foot done at a time. Will probably have the left foot done sometime next year. And on a happier note...on the 1st of November I will become an American citizen...am nervous about the test of knowledge I have to pass, but think I have all the answers memorised *L*..or should I spell that memorized? *L* At least when I say it's the red white and blue for me, I can be talking about both the american and aussie flag as they are the same colours *L* And I keep my Australian citizenship also, so can have the best of both countries if i wish...
