Guest guest
, Perhaps that would be the cystduodenostomy....there really aren't too many different surgical procedures for pseudocyst drainage, and believe me, I've read up on them all! It would be great if they were able to leave his spleen alone. It's not that big a deal to remove it, but it would mean that he would always be just that much more suseptible to infections, as he'd be losing the organ that helps fight against them. My SIL had hers removed last year in another procedure entirely, and has been doing very well without it. It's good that your husband hasn't been plagued with too many symptoms, someone deserves a break, right? This is the 14th, so I guess he'll be having the procedure done later today. Please know that I'm sending good thoughts his way, and let us know how he did when he's had a chance to regain his bearings. With love, hope and prayers, Heidi Heidi H.
