Guest guest
Christy, The usual recommendations for pain and fever meds is ibuprofen (Advil, Motrin...) for ASD kids and acetaminophen (Tylenol...) for those with bowel problems. Guest guest
I just wanted to mention that it's usually not recommended to give Tylenol to ASD kids bc it reduces glutathione. However, when you have a fever that won't go down- yeah, give both. But for normal pain relief, motrin is recommended. Although, Sheila- you've got me thinking... I've been having to give my little one (well, ok he's 4) motrin consistently the past few days because of allergy headaches. And he's been waking up with a stomachache in the middle of the night. I think I'm gonna try Tylenol tomorrow and see if that makes a difference. So, thanks for bringing up the bowel problem thing (he has yeast issues). I didn't know that, but it makes sense. I get a stomachache when I take motrin. > > Christy, > > The usual recommendations for pain and fever meds is ibuprofen (Advil, Motrin...) for ASD kids and acetaminophen (Tylenol...) for those with bowel problems. > > Sheila > > > > Help Hurry!!! > > Maegan is 5 yrs old and has 104.0 plus fever she kept moving the thermostat.. .Do I give Tylenol????? ? Guest guest
Do we need to get the Ibuprofen/advil/tylenol made at a compounding pharmacy to make it SCD legal? (All the ibuprofen I have found in Norway has lactose, corn starch, dextrose, etc. There is 1 type of acetaminophen here that is scd legal, at least.) - april
Guest guest
Hi , Some people get it compounded others don't. I use OTC pain meds very infrequently so I didn't bother to get them compounded. I picked out the brand with the least amount of illegals.
