Guest guest
Hi MGB Family.. I had my surgery Friday, 12/1.. and am recovering nicely... with just a few exceptions. I still can't stand up straight! I wrote Dr R.. who suggested I remove the patch.. I'll see him in clinic tomorow (Tuesday). I feel like I've been running.. (use your imagination!) and have this shooting pain in my side. NOT intense pain.. just enough so that I can't stand up straight. I'm also having a hard time drawing in a deep breath without that pain in my side... weird, huh?? I'm up and walking... just hunched over! Otherwise, I feel GREAT. The surgery went well... All my liquids are going down well.. no neasea. And yes.. you CAN feel when you're full. More later. Sid Sutherland MGB 12/
Guest guest
Hi Sid. Yep I had that same stitch in my side for quite a while, like maybe two weeks. I emailed Dr. R. and he said still some gas from the surgery trapped in there and it would eventually escape from one end or the other. Well, it did. Good luck on a speedy recovery. Guest guest
Sid!!!!! I'm so happy for you! Congrats! Hang in there, the pain does get better. Even though on the outside it looks like 5 little-bitty incisions and nothing was really done... There was a lot of maneuvering, turning, and angleing of surgical equipment. You will be tender for a bit. Major rearranging of your insides was just done. It hurt like the dickens for me to turn in my sleep, cough, and laugh for almost two weeks postop. It does get better. My best!!! Jenn... Vancouver, WA MGB 11-1-00 #300 12-1-00 #272 <<<< Subject: MGB 12/1 Update Hi MGB Family.. I had my surgery Friday, 12/1.. and am recovering nicely... with just a few exceptions. Guest guest
That's a ditto from me on that one. It was very difficult riding in a car, and I had a 12 hour trip home 5 dys after surgery. My hubby stopped often though and let me stretch, and we spent one night in a motel to ease the stress on the new lil' belly. Trudy MGB 12/1 Update Hi MGB Family..
