Hi ,

I have all of that stuff ready already. I make chicken

soup regularly with my crock pot, so that's not going

to be a problem. I have just a couple of questions:

--I just bought onions and garlic for the chicken

stock for flavor which I believe is allowed as long as

you do not eat them, correct?

--What kind of sweeteners are OK? I do not want to use

saccharin. I bought honey even though I'm not going to

use it for a while...I was going to get stevia liquid

but I was not sure.

I have been on a WAY more restricted diet than my son

for other reasons before this, so I think I can

definitely do it. This weekend is a holiday weekend so

my son is off school which will make it easier on him

as well, and I just got paid so I had better shop now.

He is not a picky kid. It is just school lunches where

I will replace his PB & J for a while that might be a

problem. I do have some small containers that I bought

though and can send applesauce or pears, and I guess I

need an insulated bag for meats. My concern is that my

son is behaving very violently at school. This is a

pretty new behavior and a lot of it is due to the

teachers thinking he was behaving that way at home --

no way would we allow that! I am hoping the diet might

calm him down.

All I need to find now is unflavored gelatin. I have

found it before, I can do it again!

P.S. I went to SCDiet.org and saw that they are

telling people this diet does not work with RA. I hope

they are wrong because that is why I started this

diet. Gluten severely affected my symptoms as do

starches, and I have been taking sulfasalazine for RA

for a long time. In fact I was starch free for about

10 days and then in a moment of weakness I ate a

couple of my son's GFCF cookies. The next day, I was

flaring.

:)
