Guest guest
Dear Crystal: I was delighted to read you're taking this class because I have a question about fats. I have many of the symptoms you listed and know the importance of fat in the diet and health, but of course because of CP I have to severely limit it. I was told that I should use coconut oil - that it is a fat that does not require pancreatic enzymes to be digested. Would you be able to ask your instructor if this is true? Thanks, in Hawaii I am taking a nutrition class this semester, > > First of all the symptoms: > flaky, itchy skin > diarrhea > infections > retarded growth > slow wound healing > anemia
Guest guest
I'd be interested in the coconut oil too. I heard it helps with underactive thyroid too. Eileen

Guest guest
and Eileen, I will ask my professor. I know that there is some type of oil that is used for people with malabsorption because the dietician mentioned it to me once. I will see what I can find out from my professor.
