Guest guest
, I bought a pair of jeans online from a place called Romans because they have tall jeans. They have a 2 inch waistband made from a knit material and I have them on now. They even have a button and zipper too! They are comfortable. I went shopping in walmart last week and saw these same jeans (minus the length) and they were in the materinty department. LOL!! I normally wear a size 14 but with this bloating and all I am wearing a 18! So the waistband in bigger jeans fits well, but as you can imagine, the rest of the jeans looks like ...well.....WAY too big. It's not attractive. I hadn't been wearing tshirts in the last few years. Only blouses. But I am finding that tshirts feel good and wear well to hide this knit band and they are long enough. Another problem I have. Only tshirts in the mens department are long enough. The ladies shirts and tshirts are so short these days. I don't have a hard body and don't wish to share my " rolls " with anymone else. LOL!! I think our founder Karyn once said she has several sizes in her wardrobe for those days when she is bloated and when she isn't. Sorry if I got that wrong but I know someone on this board once told me that. And the other thing I have problem with is losing weight. Even with not eating alot anymore, I am not losing weight. I am one of the " lucky ones " to keep this weight on. So I get those funny looks from doctors and family like " you can't possibly be sick if you're overweight " . As far as clothing goes, I have always said I would be more than willing to pay an extra 2 or 3 dollars for more material in jeans and shirts and bouses. I am not 20 anymore and don't want to dress that way with the short shorts, shorter shirts and ankle length or pegged jeans. Where did those " 70's go with the great clothes I grew up in and remember so fondly??!!! Thanks for the tip, Snady in Ca -------------- Original message -------------- Sandy, if you tend to wear tshirts and shirts over the top of your pants/jeans, is it worth wearing maternity ones? that would give you so much comfort. That's what I have to do after my surgeries. Even now I can't wear anything tight around my waist/abdomen.. Ward
