Fliss,

I had sphincteroplasty for my pancrea divisum in June. It didn't work.

Within the first week I knew that it wasn't working. I had my first bout with my

first bite of food in the hospital. It was very depressing.

I don't know this person's situation though. My doc that did my surgery said

that had he known how bad my pancreas was before he opened me up he would

have planned to do either a whipple or a beger procedure on me. Now I have to

have the beger procedure. That will be my 3rd major surgery in 1 year.

I am not looking forward to it, but if it will help I am willing to try. If

this person's pancreatitis is not too far advanced then maybe the

sphinceteroplasty will help. I had hoped it would for me but no such luck.
