Guest guest
Hi Sandy: Sorry it's been so long in getting a reply out to you...I've been feeling a bit better for the past few days FINALLY!! This is typically what happens after having the celiac block done. It's been a good 2 months since I've felt this good but I don't want to jinx it so I won't say anymore!! Yes I do drink regular NON diet Coke for the nausea and it helps tremendously...I believe it was W. that recommended it to me. Only problem there is that between the bland diet I have to eat (which consists of either corn flakes or cheerios or bagels and/or english muffins or toast) and the return to non diet coke I have probably gained 35 lbs in the last six months or so. I cried yesterday as I was trying on pants that I was wearing just this past spring and now I can't get them closed/zippered (and they are of the " stretch corduroy/jean " variety so they have " Give " built into them anyway!)...alot of it is probably due to this awful edema that has developed in my abdomen/ankles/feet and calves. I can't even pick up my left leg very well anymore beause of it, good example is that when I try and lift it out of the tub after a shower I just barely make it....) > > , > > Try coke 2 or C2.Thats what I drink because of nausea. I am one of the ones that gain weight for no apparent reason. I will not drink regular soda on a regular basis but practivly live on C2 now. Half the sugar, no sacrin, slenda...etc. It also helps me when I have a SOD attack. And the pain meds make me feel so lousy that a cold C2 will help make that better 2. > > I am trying to look at being over weight like this...in case of a BAD attack, at least I will have the weight to lose. I am about 25 pounds overweight medically and 15 pounds where I like to be. > > Sandy in Ca > >
