Guest guest
" Alun " , chemical as above, is used (in small amounts) for play-clay (homemade Play-dooh) to make it less sticky (esier to work with) and as a preservative. Is it SCD legal, and what about the aluminium part? Thank you for any advice. Sheila, thank you so much for colour ideas! It does contain aluminum but the form is different. Is it completely safe? - There seems to be some debate back and forth. If you are going to make your own play clay you could probably do without it - just remember to wrap up the clay tightly between uses. It is not a food additive so I can't really comment on SCD legality. It is different than aluminum used in regular antipersperants etc. Most of what I have read says that it is too large too be absorbed by the body and that it has a negative ionic so it wouldn't be absorbed like some other molecules. However, I don't know if this applies to someone with gut issues and whose body has trouble processing toxins.
