Guest guest
Hello , Thank you so much for your suggestions & concerns. You are a good friend......Nope, they didn't do the blood work in the office. It has to be " fasting " and I have no veins, and they won't touch my port in his office, to get blood from it, for some reason. I never understood why. Actually, I think they did away with their lab in the office anyways. Its been so long, I'm not sure about that. I did call his office back yesterday afternoon & his nurse called me back & she said " I know you aren't going to do this, but he really wants you to go to the ER " . I said, yep, you are right, I won't go. She said if I get any worse, any at all, even a little bit, to call her back immediately and she will talk to him again. Today I woke up & I feel a bit better. I slept pretty good, for me, and my pain isn't quite as bad. We shall see how the rest of the day goes. About the Urgent Care...they are worse then the ER's! I hate it even more! I will go to the ER before I will go there....ever! But thanks again for your suggestions & your concern. You are the greatest! Lots of Hugs, P.S. I read your post about SS....and I'm so sorry! Don't give up! Keep up the fight! You guys will win in the long run, trust me on this! Appeal & Appeal & Appeal! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Did he do the blood work when you were there. Call and get the results and tell him again you are sick, dehydrated and want some home help that the ER is too much to handle. Maybe if your tests are back, he can tell what is going on and may be able to help you at home. I hope!!! BUT, if you are not improving at all you will need to go to the ER for fluids and stabilization. Is there an Urgent Care Center you can go to instead of the large ERs? Hope you feel better soon. Guest guest
Hi Chtherine: Thanks for the suggestions...I do have something like you are talking about, it isn't on his letterhead, but it does explain everything. It doesn't work. On the times I did go to the ER when he wanted me to, I have always ask that he calls while I am still there to let them know I'm coming, and for what, and that is just a waste of time too. When I tell them he has called, they just look at me. The doctors tell me, well, he has sent you here, and we are going to do it MY way. They won't listen to me anyways. There are a couple ER doc's that do know me, and that helps, but when any of the others are there, forget it! I refuse to go, it is as simple as that. Its a waste of time, money and energy. I've been dealing with this since 93, and it is so old & worn out. I thought maybe since I have that letter with me it would help..NOT! But thanks anyways. I do appreciate all your help. Lots of Hugs, ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ , Why don't you get a letter from your doctor on their letterhead stating your diagnosis' and all the medications you are on and what they are for, how much and that you are not a drug seeker. Many of us have found that this can help turn around some ER doctors' opinions on us and get a bit better service... That might help just a bit with your reluctance to go to the ER when it is necessary to be there.. Regards, Ward
