Guest guest
I tried to make the chicken pancakes for my son tonight--wouldn't touch them. I put honey on top-still wouldn't touch them. I haven't started him officially on the diet yet. I was trying to see what I can feed him for the intro part. So far it looks like just applesauce is fine with him. He refused to eat a burger. I will see if he will eat plain chicken tomorrow. Any ideas on what I could use in place of maple syrup? This is going to be tough on him until we can add some more foods in. Thanks,

Very different taste from real maple syrup. So what you might consider is using pear sauce flavored with a legal maple extract -- wouldn't have the maple + the honey's natural taste. — Marilyn New Orleans, Louisiana, USA Undiagnosed IBS since 1976, SCD since 2001 Darn Good SCD Cook No Human Children Shadow & Sunny Longhair Dachshund
Guest guest
Thank you! I'll try that. Plain honey on top didn't work. (I really thought he would love it-But I think he knows something is up!) -------------- Original message -------------- > Any ideas on what I could use in place of > maple syrup? Guest guest
start out slow, use the maple syrup you have in the bottle he recognizes. Make it half honey and half whatever syrup you use, I do like the real 100% maple syrup but is illegal. I have been know to put things in jars my son recognizes and start slowly. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't but it increases my odds of him making the switch. --------------------------------- Be a better sports nut! Let your teams follow you with Yahoo Mobile.
