OK fellow listers, I have recently implemented the SCD on both of my sons and

just started the diet myself. I have been doing it for about three days now and

am an emotional mess. I cry for no reason, every little thing becomes such a

big issue, and I am sweating profusely!! Is this me detoxing from the diet?

Any comments are greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Kelley, 's Mom

Yes, this is probably die-off. Any time I get an opportunity to advise someone

in advance, I always suggest the parent either start the diet first, and get

past this initial phase.... or, AFTER their kids are past it.

It can be rough to be going through this at the same time you're dealing with

your kids and their own die-off symptoms... and getting used to all the cooking,

etc.

Get in the tub with epsom salts.... use about two full cups of salts to tub.

Soak at least 20 minutes. Activated charcoal supplements can help mop up

toxins, too.

The most positive thing I can tell you is that it's temporary.
