Guest guest
I heard that Pam Ferro at the Gottschall Center goes for 3 months without any dairy for her ASD children and she has great results. Any thoughts on this. I am up to 2 cups a day for my 9 year old son. He is not doing very well. jo
Guest guest
>I'm new to this too. You didn't understand. Pam Ferro must run this center or treats patients there. The center has Elaines last name so I assume she opened it. She takes the dairy and that includes yogurt out of their diet for 3 months and then adds it back in. Thats all I know. I might try to contact this woman tomorrow for more information. Good luck jo > I'm still real new to this and exhausted - Q. Guest guest
Like I said before, I think you introduced it too soon. The general recommendation on pecanbread is to wait until past all initial die-off and until the child is doing well and pretty stable on SCD..... that can be a different time period for each child, and it's usually most relevant for those kids who were CF prior to starting SCD. When you start SCD yogurt, you're advised to start with a TINY amount and increase very slowly. Please go to www.pecanbread.com and click " yogurt " .... then click " FAQ for goat yogurt " . Patti Me again! Another question! I heard that Pam Ferro at the Gottschall Center goes for 3 months without any dairy for her ASD children and she has great results. Any thoughts on this. Guest guest
>My son has been dairy free for 3 years. I am thinking take him off of it because he is doing so poorly. He looks miserable. All the foods he is on are new to him. That alone might be an adjustment for him. My husband wants to keep him on it. But he also thinks there is a dr out there holding a magic wand. How did I miss the introducing thing? I didn't know I was supposed to wait. Was it in the book? Puzzled. Thanks jo Mom to sweet little 9 seizures, autism > Like I said before, I think you introduced it too soon. Guest guest
<<How did I miss the introducing thing? I didn't know I was supposed to wait. Was it in the book? Puzzled.>> No... not in the book.... on the website. So many of the finer points of doing SCD for kids with autism are on the website, not in the book. If you really haven't read the website thoroughly, it is a wealth of info. Patti

If other kids do, then why not my son. I will keep plugging along. Thanks for all your help! jo > <<How did I miss the introducing thing? I didn't know I was supposed to > wait. Was it in the book?
