Guest guest
Hi Sandy: Thanks for writing....I appreciate all your thoughts here and you're definitely right when you say that we should just love ourselves anyway. The only problem is is that right before all of this started I had lost 75 lbs!!! I was so proud of myself, it took a little over a year to lose it and I was buying a whole new wardrobe etc. However, NOW I'm beginning to believe that all that fat being flushed thru my digestive system may have had something to do with why my gall bladder basically " blew " (The reason they took it out wasn't because of stones but because of a " low ejection fraction rate " - I assume that means it wasn't working as fast as it should have?)...anyway, now I'm obviously somewhat depressed about having this illness and having to retain all of this fluid is also contributing to the weight gain as well. I swear I can't even lift up my left leg it's THAT heavy so there's probably a good 20 lbs of water weight there too. But, being down about this illness and then having to try on all of those new clothes I bought myself when I lost the weight and not being able to get the pants above my " back side " LOL! is just like adding insult to injury. Oh well...someone else remarked (was it you?) that if times were to get bad (and they have gotten so bad that once during the worst attack of my life - I lost 15 lbs in one week!!) at least I would have something to burn and not come out looking like a skeleton. Sigh..... > > , > > I am so sorry to hear you have gained weight. That is such a bummer for sure. Have you tried C2? Half the sugar and calories. There are some days I do little more than drink soda. And then other days I can actually eat. > > I used to really cry hard as before I got pregnant with my son I was 107 pounds wore a size 5, but am also 5'10. Skeletal to say the least. I haven't been able to drop all that weight since iIhad him. I had a aunt who weighed more than 500 lbs. I watched her try every diet imaginable and eat like a bird. After many, many years of specialists and doctors she finally got adoctor who told her that bodies are predisposed to be a certain way ad that is really nohing you can do to change that. Makes sense to me as my mom 'stayed way skinny after 5 kids and my uncles are both slim. Sometimes there just is't anything you can do about weight but ride it out and love yourself anyway. Thats what I am trying to do. > > Sandy > > -------------- Original message -------------- > > > Yes I do drink regular NON diet Coke for the nausea and it helps > tremendously...I believe it was W. that recommended it to me. > Only problem there is that between the bland diet I have to eat > (which consists of either corn flakes or cheerios or bagels and/or > english muffins or toast) and the return to non diet coke I have > probably gained 35 lbs in the last six months or so. > >
