Guest guest
I am so sorry that you are having problems with hernias again! Please know that you are in my prayers with special prayesr. You have endured so much yet through it all helped so many. I wish there were something I could do. I wish, as I am sure others do, that I were closer to give you some " hands on " help! To any of the group that is reading this note and haven't heard this story, was one of my nurses when I first got sick in 1997. She is THE ONE that I remember as she gave me such good care! Several years later I " found her " in this group! She did not have pancreatitis when she took care of me and I remember many long talks we had about the disease and good advice she gave me. I was shocked to hear later that she also had developed pancreatitis in its most severe form! I always smile when I remember how I " found " Chrissy in this group. I was telling the group about a nurse that I had at MUSC who was wonderful and the advice she gave me. I told them I could remember her by her very long, dark, " I Dream of Jeannie " hair! She had it up in a high ponytail like the I Dream of Jeannie character. Low and behold, she came forward and identified herself. Small world isn't it? Funny how some things stick in your memory, but I can remember the exact, room, spot etc where I stood and talked to Chrissy and this was at a time when I was miserably ill! I remember we had a chat about laparoscopci gallbladder surgery and pancreatitis, as well as other things and a few chuckles. This lady is one GREAT AND WONDERFUL nurse and in our prayers we need to remember and say extra special prayer that she be made well and able to go back to the profession she loves so. Pancreatitis patient's need nurses like her in the profession! The ones who know this disease. Chrissy you are in my prayers and I wish I could reach through and just take that pain away! God bless Kaye
