Guest guest
Hi Everyone, I am new here. My son is 4 and has ASD. He has always improved beautifully with ABA alone. Recently I got into the biomed. GFCF didn't seem to affect him like it does so many. A week ago he went crazy out of nowhere with OCD and ridgitity and crying. Desperate to help I went all over town to find this book, leaving many a disaster in our wake, and we started diet today, him and I. First ?: What marg should I use? Should I break our CF and use butter? The book says no margerine, we were using smart balance light or earth balance before.
Guest guest
No margarine is legal on SCD. You could use coconut oil instead... It is solid at room temp, similar to butter, and is wonderful to cook with. It holds up well to heat (doesn't degrade), and has anti-fungal, anti-viral, anti-bacterial properties. I would ONLY use a virgin or extra-virgin coconut oil. Mine is EFA Gold organic, made by Nature's Way. Tropical Traditions is a good one... and also Wilderness Family Naturals (Google those company names to order online direct). Patti Introducing myself Hi Everyone, I am new here.
