Guest guest
We're coming up to 2 weeks on the diet! Because my son (14) is so resistent, we did not do the intro, just started with legal foods & hope for the best. So far, we've kept him on -- as long as I'm cooking constantly trying to satisfy all his demands!! (Ugh!) But I'm surprised that he has had NO die-off symptoms. (I, on the other hand, have been almost knocked flat for the whole?two weeks!) Should I assume that he's just stronger than I am? Or that the regular diet is not adequate? He was even on Nystatin for a week (as part of?his allergy desensitization treatment), during our first week on SCD, and nothing. Maybe he really did heal on the GF diet that he's followed for a couple of years? He also started nutritional?supplements at the same time: could that have helped with die-off at all? On the positive side, no symptoms means he's not being turned off by the diet... Thanks, (in Canada) SCD: two weeks tomorrow me: CFS (20 years) Josh: AS, ADHD, LD, no meds? ________________________________________________________________________ Email and AIM finally together. Guest guest
Nystatin formulas often contains illegals, so that may have actually delayed progress on SCD. Are you sure all of his supplements are legal? No trace starches or other illegal fillers? I think you probably will see die-off eventually. Some don't have any right at the very beginning, but I'm more inclined to think it's because you didn't do Intro.... and am a little suspicious that you may need to go over all the supps with a fine-toothed comb. I often find it works best to start SCD with very few supps, if any.... then add them back (LEGAL ONLY) slowly over time. Patti no die off symptoms? We're coming up to 2 weeks on the diet!
