Guest guest
Hey guys, I am new to this group. My daughter is doing the MAD for Seizures. I found pork skins you can easily cook yourself from Silver Dollar City, in Branson, MO this past Oct. They are great fresh. The following is from a post I made to the Atkins4seizures board. Any way this is the ordering info. These are uncooked and can be cooked in a Fry Daddy or a Microwave. They are delicious fresh. This bag for $25.00 will make the equivelant of 10 bags that measure approx. 12x20 inches. They are larger than most. The ones in the prepackaged in the bag from the store always smell a little rancid to me. The note from the Silver Dollar City contact person is as follows: Thank you for your inquiry regarding pork rinds. We can ship the uncooked pork rinds. The bags are approximately two pounds each for $25.00 pus shipping. If you are interested, you may contact me by email. Please include shipping address, credit card number and expiration date and number of bags of pork rinds. Respectfully, Eakins Food Office beakins@... Hope this helps. We plan to use these exclusively. Dorene
Guest guest
No matter what, for someone on SCD, I would not recommend pork rinds, even homemade ones, for anyone unless they are advanced and doing well. I understand you are doing a different diet.... or maybe combining that with SCD? I did the Keto diet with my daughter for 2.5 yrs before SCD. We really only discuss SCD here.
