Guest guest
As far as best absorption, usefulness, etc, what time of day is best for taking CLO? The bottle says with food, but does it really matter as far as SCD and how it is supposed to help our kids? Morning time, before bed, with meals, etc? It is the capsules (gel cap things or whatever you call them). Thanks. Bonita

Guest guest
Yeah, that sure would be a problem. My son eats a full meal or a big snack every 2 hours on average or we are where we can't take the CLO when there is time enough in between. I wonder what the next best thing would be? Guest guest
I give it to my son first thing in the morning it may only be in there ten minets without food or longer but at least a little time goes by. I struggle with this because of coarse we want to do it the best but i figure it is way more than the average kids get. sometimes right before bed gives a time with out food. But then I had to get him used to not having a late night snack. It was so much easier when I was a hamburger helper mom. LOL Sad but true. We eat so good now its really weird. Especially when my daughter has friends over you think I put something really awful on their plate. Well i am off track. Take care Bonita Todd wrote: Yeah, that sure would be a problem. Guest guest
Do you know why they have to be on an empty stomach and a while before eating? Guest guest
Hi, Bonita and , I don't know why the Green Pastures site tells you to take CLO away from food. I have read that fat-soluable vitamins and like A and D and fish oil supplements should be taken with food. Also early in the day is best. I read that the digestion of these oils depends on bile and as the day goes on we have less and less bile, so morning is best. mom to -12 SCD 4/23/
Guest guest
I agree with . I know that Tamaro (K protocol) also says CLO should be taken with food. Patti Re: Best time to take CLO? Guest guest
Hi Stacey, I take my CLO (Carlson's Super 100mg) with meals. On the label it empatically says " At Mealtime " - it is underlined twice. That will give you the best absorption.
