Guest guest
My first question is about the yogurt. I have had it turn out thick in the past although lately it has been turning out very thin & watery. I have a Yogourmet and bought the lamp dimmer switch and monitored the temperature on the last batch hoping that would help. It still turned out very thin. Is this how it's supposed to be? Any ideas what could account for the variation? Any suggestions on freezing chicken and banana pancakes? How do you keep them from sticking together or do you freeze individual servings? Do they freeze well? Thank you for your help! R. Mom to Nick (2 yrs) and (7yrs)-ASD.
Guest guest
Hi, , For freezing pancakes, spread out on a cookie sheet and put in freezer. When they are frozen, transfer to a plastic freezer bag or other container and they won't stick together. Are you making goat milk yogurt? Was it the same kind of milk when it turned out thick? mom to -12 SCD 4/23/
Guest guest
Yes, I use goat milk and it's from the same source I've always used. Thank you for the suggestion about freezing pancakes! It can depend on if they have just had their 'kids' or if the kids are older; it can also depend on the type of feed they are eating. Some people also notice a big change in flavour too if they switch from grass fed to grain fed etc... <<<<Any suggestions on freezing chicken and banana pancakes? If I have baked on parchment paper, I recycle the parchment paper and cut it in pieces to use between the layers to be frozen. Guest guest
After reading some other posts I may try cooling the milk down (lower than 100 degrees F before adding the starter. I use Progurt and I didn't see anything written about a temperature recommendation on the bottle. R. > > > > > > Hi, , > > For freezing pancakes, spread out on a cookie sheet and put in > > freezer.
