It says on the website that date sugar is illegal. What about if I

make my own? Other than honey or raisins, is there a richer sweetener

that I can use for my pecan pie? I'm looking for a dark sugar flavor.

Add some browned butter -- amazing richness and

flavor. My Dad, who is something of a pecan pie

aficionado, said it was the best pecan pie he'd ever had.

Is there an SCD pecan pie recipe floating around somewhere? I don't think I

have found one yet.

You can also get legal, dark, rich tasting honeys. The taste will

depend on what flowers the honey bees go to.

Some health food stores sell different kinds of honey.
