Guest guest
Greetings! For some reason I have trouble eating protein, I almost always have trouble each time. Keep in mind that I follow a VEGAN diet, and when I talk about protein, I'm talking about things like beans, wheat products, etc. I mentioned the problem to my Gastroenterologist staff and they said to me " Oh, you're one of THOSE " - we also mentioned it to my GAstroenterologist and he didn't have anything to add/say about the problem. Can anybody tell me what " ONE OF THOSE " means, and if anybody has any ideas for me. I just got through with 5 days of clear liquids and am now starting full liquids.. oh what fun.. Thanks Rick Nickles
Guest guest
Bumping this because I'd like to know what others know about this too. I am a vegetarian as well, but I have been recently taking EAS Myoplex shakes and I have noticed an increase in pain. Anyone, anyone? Bueller? Bueller? lol Eileen > > Greetings! > > For some reason I have trouble eating protein, I almost always have > trouble each time. Guest guest
Myoplex is made of whey-protein concentrate (with calcium caseinate and milk-protein isolate) Whey protein concentrate has more fat and lactose and requires more digestion, so that may be the problem. Whey protein isolate takes less digestion and hydrolyzed whey protein takes less digestion still. The people who make Benefiber make Beneprotein, its a good whey protein isolate. There are lots of other brands as well. There are places to get samples to try to see what makes you less sick (I'm not going to say what does not make you sick, since sometimes everything will!)Most of them cater to people who have had weight loss surgery...here's one, http://www.vitalady.com/ There are bunches of others. I'll shut up now....
