Guest guest
Hi Guys, I'm sorry for not posting lately but was back in the hospital last week with pain and nausea and the nausea was the worst. It turned out not to be my cp this time. I was impact and my colon full of stool. They gave me something to drink plus an enama that helped. The doctor said he could understand why I thought it was the cp. The doctor wants me to be on Zelnorm which I can't afford to get but he says I need to be on it. He said this will stop all the bloating and gas after meals and will need to take a fiber product to keep me regular. I heard of pharmacutical companies that help some people out with their medicine. Doe's anyone know anything about this? I don't know how to get the medicine any other way. Sincerely, Janet
Guest guest
Yes, Janet, there are web sites you can go to to get help with scripts. Does anyone here remember what the addresses are for those? Hang in there. Someone will get to you with the info. Guest guest
Janet, The first place you might tae a look at is the indigent drug site at Mark's website at top5plus5.com http://top5plus5.com/Pancreas/Indigent%20Drug%20Programs/ Indigent%20Drug%20Programs.htm It has information on free medications, as well as state pharmaceutical assistance programs. You might also ask your doctor for a prescription for Miralax, a very efficient, gentle laxative that many of us use that has no taste, and can be mixed into nearly any type of beverage without changing the taste or texture. I suggest this because many of us have tried all kinds of additional fiber, both natural fiber or fiber-based supplemental products like Metamucil, FiberOne, etc., and found that these were not enough to produce regular motility. Miralax was recommended to me after having an impaction that nearly hospitalized me, and it's been a life saver ever since. I hope this helps. With love, hope and prayers, Heidi Heidi H. Guest guest
I went to www.pparx.com searched for my meds, found them, answered questions, completed some paperwork that my doctor sent in, and within a month I started getting my meds that would have cost well over $500/month free. I'm talking pancrease, Duragesic, Protonix, Lipitor, and a couple of others.
