Guest guest
, I never thought about that myself that the rise in Fentanyl would cause such nausea. This morning, I broke down and ate some toast. I am sicker than I can imagine and I know that something that simple should not really cause such great distress. Zofran is an oral medication? I do have plenty of 25mg Compazine suppositories (84) and will try them regularly to see whether or not I can get relif from them. If not, then I will call my doctor for Zofran. Thank you so much. Guest guest
>Anyse- I vividly recall when I was first put on the patch while in the hospital- I was sick to my stomach for three days. Then it settled down. Everytime the dose changed (even when going lower) that incredible nausea returned. I know that it is not the only cause, as pancreatitis itself causes nausea, but without a doubt it aggravated the problem for me. The Zofran I take now is oral but the hospital staff gave it to me as an IV. It is extremely expensive so some doctors believe most insurances will not cover it ( usually used with cancer patients for chemo nausea). I got lucky- my insurance covers it. > , > > I never thought about that myself that the rise in Fentanyl would > cause such nausea. > > This morning, I broke down and ate some toast.
