Do Not reply to this e-mail, the messge will not reach us!!!!! Hi: This is my first post and need some help if anyone out there has experenced this problem. I had a stint removed on 9/21/05 and about 3 days later experenced the worst case of Panc that I have ever had. Since then I have been admitted to the hospital 4 times, about once a week. I call it rolling Panc. Out of the hospital, home for a few days, back to the ER and admittance to the hospital. I finally was able to make it to the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN where I was also admitted to St. 's hospital via the ER because of the pain and enzyme levels being elevated. After a CT scan and talking to the specialist I was diagnosed with Chronic Panc. There are also indications that I could have a tumor or a extreme inflamation of the pancreas. Further testing is needed but they cannot do the tests until my pancreas has healed some, which is about 3 weeks. I have all kinds of pain meds, and am taking enzymes and anti-oxidents in the hopes of getting this thing to settle down. Have not been able to make it a week yet alone 3 since 9/21/05. I guess my question is: What happened after that stint was removed? Did it so traumatize the pancreas that I went into rolling Panc? Has anyone else had this problem? I have since read and been informed by doctors that the stint is not always the answer and in some cases cause more problems. The stint was placed in because the Dr. said that one of the ducts was narrowed and after removing it all looked good. Any help or words would be appreciated. This has been a burden on me and my family for a month now. I just wish I would never have had that stint put in.
