Guest guest
I have to make this quick as I have to get my youngest daughter and I ready to go to a holloween carnival. Should be fun, hope I can handle it...LOL. You haven't had a drink in ages, right? Well your doc needs to believe that, tell him to test your blood if he wants to. But what you need to stress, and everybody need to understand is, it doesn't matter one iota how we got pancreatitis what matter is how we deal with it NOW! If you drink now you will get sick as a dog, (no offense ) and you and your doc know that. Ya'll need to focus your energies on the here and now and the future. The past is the past for a reason, and we all have learned something from it, good and bad. What we have learned is what has made us the people we are now, even that doc (tho he could stand a few more lessons in people skills) and we are all the better for what we have learned, the good and the bad. Gotta run and turn my 10 year old daughter in t or Gwenivier, I forget which one she is. Hope this helps and you are feeling well. Guest guest
Thanks , I know what has caused this. My concern now is how to deal with it and learn more about the condition. I know where to go to get help if I need it. I can't even remember when I had my last mixed drink. I only drink beer. Which is no difference. The point is I am trying to deal with things now and have forgotten about the past. And that is what I am trying to stress to this man. And not only learning about the effects of alcohol, also how to eat and what beverages I can consume. Some times I can't even drink a glass of water as the pancreas will hurt thinking I am taking in food. I am learning about this condition as I go along and have all of you to thank in teaching me and helping me along. I am slated for a splenectomy on Tues. the 1st of Nov and will be laid up for about a month. I hope to chat will everyone during my recovery wrote: I have to make this quick as I have to get my youngest daughter and I ready to go to a holloween carnival. Guest guest
, My girlfriend has had accute recuring pancreatitis for over 2 years and is generally in a lot of pain. Recently she has gone through a series of procedures where they have put increacingly larger stents in her pancreatic valves/ducts. She just had the third stent put in today. She has noticed less pain since the stents have been put in. Infact, last week she had some cake complete with frosting and didn't experience the usual pancreatic pain! I know there are all sorts of causes of panc attacks and pain, but have you discussed the possibility of stents? Be careful though, her first set of stents were very small and got blocked with bacteria and caused an attack. also, I have read about cases where removing a stent can cause further damage to the pancreas. take care, adam
