Guest guest
Happy Thanksgiving! Has anyone found an organic commercial yogurt (to use as a starter for my yogurt) that does not contain bifidus? Whole Foods carries at least 6 organic plain yogurts but all contain bifidus. Thanks, as always, for your help. Terri SCD 11/9/
Guest guest
Hi Terri, About a year ago, I bought an organic plain yogurt without bifidus at Whole Foods, but I can't remember the name (something like Organic Meadow maybe). I do know that the Super Stop & Shop near me also carried it at the time. I just surfed the 'Net to see if I could find it. Unfortunately, I didn't, but I did see this one that has potential: http://www.sevenstarsfarm.com/yogurt.htm They're closed today, so we can't check the probiotic strains in it, but it looks like it has potential. Guest guest
, Thanks so much for your response. I just went on the Seven Stars web site and they do add bifidus to their yogurt. I will check out a Stop and Shop and see what I can find there. Whole Foods used to carry Eriven yogurt and that I think was bifidus free but they stopped carrying it. Have a wonderful day. Guest guest
Hi Terri, The yogurt I use is Fage. I found it at our local healthfood store (Fresh and Natural) and I also saw it at Trader Joes. It has only L Bulgaricus and S. Thermophilus. Their website is www.fageusa.com if you want to check it out. Sharon > > > Happy Thanksgiving! Guest guest
Sharon, Thank you so much for the information. I'll go to my local Trader Joes later today and if not there, I'll call a few of the health food stores in the area. All the best, Terri --- pandamom777 wrote: > > Hi Terri, > The yogurt I use is Fage. I found it at our local > healthfood store > (Fresh and Natural) and I also saw it at Trader > Joes.
