Guest guest
Does anyone know how to ferment almond milk? I have taken my daughter off of all honey and fruit and I have discovered she loves freshly made almond milk. I am learning that it might not be the best thing for her, unless fermented. She is currently coming off of the intro diet and eats the following: 1/8 tsp scd goat yogurt 1 Tbl scdopholus probiotic " mixture " 1 tsp coconut oil 2 oz fresh carrot/garlic juice a ton of chicken, lamb, angus gd beef, egg(all boiled well) squash scd lemonade made with saccharin I want to add more vegetables, I have been waiting only so I could incorporate the scd goat yogurt and the probiotic. I am never sure to opt for adding more food, or increasing the yogurt and probiotic. I am sure her symptoms are due to die off, but it is confusing..it seems as if she has not stabilized. I am due to go to the doctor next week to get some labs done to determine her need to start the vitamin k protocol...Anyone have any suggestions about other labs for me to request. I can't afford a dan doctor, so I am fishing around to try and do a lot of the work myself. Thanks so much, susannah hansen mother to 3 yo undiagnosed ella scd 8/2/07 redid intro 11/15/

I have taken my daughter off of all honey and fruit and I have discovered she loves freshly made almond milk. I am learning that it might not be the best thing for her, unless fermented.>>>>> There is a recipe for fermenting homemade almond milk into almond yogurt at http://pecanbread.com/new/recipes/almondyogurt.html You can do it without honey, but using a small amount of honey will give you higher numbers of good bacteria. You can use a legal yogurt starter. http://pecanbread.com/new/yogurt1.html#start <<<< She is currently coming off of the intro diet > and eats the following: > 1/8 tsp scd goat yogurt > 1 Tbl scdopholus probiotic " mixture " > 1 tsp coconut oil > 2 oz fresh carrot/garlic juice > a ton of chicken, lamb, angus gd beef, egg(all boiled well) > squash > scd lemonade made with saccharin > > I want to add more vegetables, I have been waiting only so I could > incorporate the scd goat yogurt and the probiotic.
