Here is my journal as of now.

November 28,2000 Drove to Durham from Charlotte and had Clinic at 1PM

Took first dose of MOM.

We then went to Greensboro for ball game of Duke. Got back to

motel " Fairfield Inn " about 12:30 and since I had early surgery I had

call for 5:15AM Took shower and went to bed. (By the way, I did use the

hebiclens in my hair once. Took second dose of MOM.

Was up before the wake up call ( I want say why!) Took shower and off

to the hospital.

Since EKG was not in file I had another one and they took me back real

soon. Everyone was very nice. Dr Rutledge saw me before surgery and I

saw him again in the OR. They said they were giving me some oxygen to

help me breath and that is the last I remember before I woke up in the

recovery room. They said they were taking me to my room and we waited

for transportation and waited. About 2 naps later they came and we went

to my room. I immediately asked to go to the bathroom and they brought

the bathroom to me. 2PM I got up and went to the bathroom. (I could

have gone by myself but they had to take off all the gear.} 4PM

Walking in the hall. It was about here I started looking for the pain

and gas. None ever came. I got up a few more times and walked in the

hall and had no problems. They discontinued my Iv's at 6AM and left the

ozygen as my level was a little low. My husband came by and we waited

for Dr. Rutledge who had already said he would be later coming. I

visited with littermates and he came about 11am and released me but I

was waiting for a friend who came up with us and she got there after

talking to Dr. Rutledge in the parking lot. Dr. Rutledge had said I

couldnot go home to Florida until 7 DAYS. He told Kim to make sure I

didn't go home. Ssssso guess what I stayed in Durham Thursday night.

Thursday night 6PM We went to a padgent rehersal at Duke and back to the

motel.

Friday morning returned to Charlotte to the home of my sister via a few

outlet stores. I found soup and jello in a great many restaurants.

Saturday 7AM To a warehouse sale in Gastonia, Home at 12Noon rested

and then went shoppin in afternoon. Sunday slept in and then went

shopping in afternoon. Monday Finished up crafts I was working on for

Christmas presents and did laundry because I had clinic on Tuesday,

Took niece by for appointment as we left Charlotte for clinic. Stopped

on the way for lunch and arrived at Durham at 12 noon. Just went on to

clinic and waited for everyone else and it wasnt long before everyone

else started arriving. Filled out paperwork and Weighed in 13 pounds

later. Back to Charlotte via outlet stores and packed for return to

ville. My husband did not come because his dad is Ill in

charlotte. My daughter and I made the trip alone with her 7 wk old

son. We stopped often (at every outlet store) and arrived in

ville at 7 PM. I have done well. No problems. Phyllis in Fla
