Guest guest
Hi Sheila, The night before, I think I tasted some of the pecan pie before it was baked. That's when I noticed my navel area kind of bulging a little and feeling hard. I felt fine Thursday morning until I had the coffee. I seem to remember having coffee on an empty stomach a few weeks ago and suffering for it then, making a mental note not to do that again, which I obviously forgot to heed. I also took a Quercetin (bioflavonoid) for allergies on my empty stomach--the combo of those two may have done it. I started feeling bad around noon, but I didn't eat the pie until around 4. As soon as I ate it, though, I mean within minutes, I felt stuffed up, almost drunk on sugar. Today, my scalp and hand have itched some so I'm sure I gave the yeast a feast. !!!  (My hand and head itching have always been my sign that my yeast is acting up. We had to quit eating cheese on the SCD because of that, and my boys were getting all stuffed up.)  I have had pecans in my life before, but only on the diet in the last few days. And we are only in the nut butter stage--most of what I've had has been almond butter. But because of the holidays and because I was doing so well, I thought I'd try it. Today, I'm still not feeling up to par although the location of the stuck feeling seems to have moved down to the middle of my intestines. I'm trying to eat light which is not a probelm as I'm not super hungry. Cathe, yeast overgrowth--mom to: 15yo ds ASD, OCD, bipolar  10yo ds ADHD, bipolar  6yo ds NT, severe constipation All SCD since 11/4/2007
