Guest guest
Although my son has only been on the diet for three or four days I gave him the coconut macaroons for Thanksgiving so he would have a treat too. He loved them! But when I changed him, they looked the same way coming out as they did going in---is that normal? We don't eat cocnut flakes so I have no idea if this is normal or if his body isn't digesting them. Otherwise I have to say I am already seeing gains---Is that normal? I started changing some things to SCD (we were GFCF) a few days before going full force on the diet and already he is doing new things for the first time. Could that be diet benefits already? son-three years old-SCD day four (partial SCD about a week before that!)
Guest guest
Hi, , The coconut has not been digested. It needs to be stopped and not reintroduced for a long time. Coconut is a very, very advanced food. mom to -12 SCD 4/23/
Guest guest
Hi ! We are new to the diet as well as we just started this month. Yep, the coconut is not being digested. Coconut is a long, long way into the future. The best way to introduce the foods is found on the Pecanbread web site: http://www.pecanbread.com That will help you out I am sure. > digesting them. Guest guest
I'm glad you are seeing benefits too! I was amazed at how fast I saw changes. He is so much more social (downright goofy at times!)and signing so much better. I am soooo happy! I figured it was way too soon for the coconut but for the holiday I didn't want him to see everyone eating chips and stuff he couldn't eat. Cookies are his favorite so I tried the macaroons. They were pretty tasty! He really loves the dairy free nut free bread. So I guess I need to find a new cookie! I hope the gains keep coming for you too! So far I am loving this diet although I am a little intimidated by all the cooking in my future! But it is so worth it if we keep going along making progress like this! -------------- Original message -------------- Hi ! We are new to the diet as well as we just started this month. Guest guest
Okay, does anyone have any good cookie recipes for a newbie on the diet? I think I saw some cracker recipes I will try. I thought the coconut was way ahead of us but didn't have time to check in the book-just grabbed the recipe list I printed out. Cookies are a big deal for him so I need to find ones he can eat now. Thank you!! -------------- Original message -------------- Hi, , The coconut has not been digested. It needs to be stopped and not reintroduced for a long time. Guest guest
Once you can use nut flour, there are lots of good cookies. For earlier, you might want to try Ellen's chicken cookies. http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/pecanbread/message/62306 mom to -12 SCD 4/23/
