Well that must be Dr. ' PAI surgical date because that is when

he has me scheduled for as well (unless something changes between now

and then) I wasn't too thrill for having to wait so long. He is

going to do an open hernia repair with allowderm mesh and

laporascopic assisted lysis of adhesions. He has not gotten all the

reports back from the barium swallow I had yesterday so he is not

100%, but that is the plan. He siad that I was so upset from our

talk last week that he decided to take an easier approach. Makes me

curious as to what he actually had intended at first since I really

didnt hear much of what he said that day over my sobbing...LOL

The barium swallow took 6 hours and was so horrible. I was sick as a

dog from drinking that crap and still feel pretty lousy. I have also

been sleeping a lot. Almost feel asleep on the drive home even tho I

slept inbetween each exray. At one point they told me to walk around

to get it moving and that worked.

I did finally get to the clinic around 3 ish but by they he was

called to the OR for an emergency and I didn't get to see him until

about 4. I was totally wiped out by that time. It was a difficult

day to say the least.

Well I guess we will be floor mates but I will only be in the

hospital for about 3 days tops. Wish it wasn't so close to the

holidays tho. We didn't have much of a Christmas last year and I had

hoped this year would be better. But I guess I will be recovering

yet again from another surgery. I hate that part. He did offer to

put me on that nurogenic meds so many people take (cant recall the

name at the momentt) but I told him I did not want to take drugs for

the rest of my life.

WEll gotta run and get my duaghter from school. I am sure we will

talk soon.
