SCD Illegal Food Supplements and No-Fenol

I have been wanting to get back to some of our food based supplements (i.e.

acerola

powder, Brewer's Yeast), but have held off as they are not SCD legal. I have

recently been

reading alot about No-Fenol " mimicking " the SCD diet as it breaks down the

illegals so

they are digestable. Here is what I am pondering, and would appreciate

thoughts/

experiences; if we give something like acerola powder or brewer's yeast with

No-Fenol,

could it negate the " illegal " status enough to make it still SCD? We would still

eat SCD

legal, it is just the food based supplements that I would really like to get

back to-

The whole family is on SCD for a variety of reasons; my oldest son for absence

seizures,

my younger son for tics, my husband and I for general health.

Your 2 cents is greatly appreciated!

Tracey,

I once asked Elaine a similar question and here is her answer: (Not an

exact quote)

Many children who just start out with SCD have very damaged guts

filled with mucus. The mucus might prevent the enzyme or the No-Fenol

from getting to the SCD illegal food or supplement.

If these supplements are not required then I would be tempted to

forget about them.

100% SCD is so much more powerful than the best supplements.
