Hi,

I am 59. I had my first attack of pancreatitis at the age of 5.

In 1988 it was nearly diagnosed as such (with the slightly helpful

clue that my mother had died of acute pancreatitis in 1965 after many

years of very, very serious CP)but a diagnosis of coeliac disease

(which I also have) was made and put an end for a time to the testing

process. Definitive hereditary CP diagnosis came two years ago.

Smoking and drinking are known to increase the risks of complications.

Good wishes,

Fliss (UK)
