My dd has the " autistic " colitis. She is high functiong and very verbal.

Yeast causing ADHD, constipation, Immune dysfuction receiving IVIG are

our issues.

We are presently GF/CF with Houston enzymes. We just did our DMPS IV

challenege test and are waiting for the results.

The question, she can not toleate any sugars, fruits, honey. I have

been trying to transition slowly to SCD. I know she has carb trouble as

when we do the Gluten free pancakes, which are high carb, she does not

do well.

I would love to do SCD so she could have some fruits and some of those

SCD recipes with honey..I've finally gotten her to eat the started soup.

IF I transition to SCD, do you think she could finally tolerate the

fruits and honey?

Yes, I think she will be able to tolerate them over time.

Chelation is so very hard on the gut. She may take a long time to heal.

My son was doing ok with SCD and chelation until he had a

chelation challenge. Then everything fell apart and he needed about a

year to get back where he was. I don't plan to do any more chelation

challenges. We stopped chelating and are approaching things a

different way.

Just telling you this so you will know that chelation can keep SCD

from working as well as it could.

Here are some links that may help with constipation and yeast:

Part of the problem may be the yeast and part of the problem may be

the illegals that are in the GF pancakes. Some people have found

that when they eliminate all illegals they are able to tolerate (or

shortly after some healing) foods that they couldn't preSCD.

Also, there have been many reports of chelation worsening yeast.
