Believe it or not I had the exact same shot in the early 80's. I was

in college full time. My R thumb woul lock up into the middle of my

hand and was incredibly painful. I had a ganglion cyst at the area as

well as the excessf luid. He drew out the ganglion, then gave me the

cortisone and yes, it is the worst thing on earth. He told me that

most men pass out from the injection, AFTER he gave the shot...LOL The

pain only last a few days. I remember it was on a thursday or friday

and I was back in school on Monday writing my notes from lectures with

little difficulty. I have yet to have another problem with that thumb

since. Hope I am not jynxing myself say that, knowing how my luck goes.

Hope it feels better soon. Shoot Heidi the more and more we talk the

more it seems we have in common...LOL

Love,

Chrissy

Chrissy,

that ganglian cyst sounds a lot like what's wrong with my index finger

on my right hand.. The doctor called it trigger finger though and I'm

going to have to have surgery to remove the cyst since just the

cortisone shots alone havent' worked. What fun.
