Is anyone on this list in Human Resources/Benefits

Management? What those of us in decision making seats

need to do is say NO to Obesity and Gastric Bypass

exclusions in the health plans. That's right... call

the insurance company and say you are going to switch

or not use them if they insist on the exclusion. Most

insurance companies will raise the rate a little, but

not much. Little by little we can make sure that

everyone with insurance covers morbid obesity.

Now, for those of us that are employed, check the

policy and if there is an exclusion written, go to the

Benefits Manager and tell them, we need coverage. If

they refuse to listen to you, send a letter to their

boss and so on.

It's wonderful to see all those who are approved, but

heart-breaking when others are not approved. We must

stick together and cross the finish line in unison.
