The darn thing went into a " cortisone flare " , where the cortizone crystalized in the joint, that's what was causing all the severe pain the last two days. Ice packs, 20 minutes on, 20 minutes off, for several repeats, finally soothed it down. I can use it now without too much pain, and can tell that probably in another day it will be working fluidly without any pain at all. Wonderful!! Some movements still bring a sharp jab of pain, but it's getting better. I'm supposed to go to a therapist early next week for evaluation and instructions on how to avoid using it.... Hard to do since I've got half a dozen sewing projects needing to be done before Christmas, and I do use both hands a lot for that. It will be interesting to see what the hand therapist has to say. The surgeon told me no gripping, no lifting, and stuff like that, and I'm sure I'm not supposed to be typing....LOL! Thanks for your encouragement, you are right, by Monday it should be feeling better! With love, hope and prayers, Heidi Heidi H.
