Guest guest
I have definitely seen headaches listed as a possible food sensitivity or allergy reaction. Personally for me, i had a history of migraines and finally figured out it was a nutrasweet sensitivity. We started scd in our house in june this year and i also had headaches the first time i introduced the goat yogurt, i switched from the yogourmet starter to the progurt starter and can now do the yogurt without headache. so if you noticed it with the apples then it is very likely you are sensitive to them. Guest guest
I remarked to my husband about a week ago that I hadn't had a single headache since starting SCD. That changed, however, a few days ago. I had a vicious tension headache that would not go away. I didn't want to take anything, as OTC medications have starches in them, and I absolutely could not sleep, so I ended up having some wine at 2 a.m. that day. LOL. But anyway, after having the wine, the headache eventually faded. But I had nausea almost immediately with the wine. Then my stomach hurt for the next two days! This is strange for me, because everyone always used to say I had a cast iron stomach. I guess not so much anymore. I've also noticed stomach upset with coffee, too, now. Other than that, the tension headache pretty much coincided with me starting apples. Since then I've had low grade headaches over the past few days consistently, and I don't know what to think. Does anyone else react to some foods with headaches? I'm just curious, since so far I haven't really seemed to react to much. Thanks, B. Guest guest
Thanks Sheri. I will first see if getting more sleep will help, as because of the headaches I am sleeping poorly (this was my husband's suggestion). Then I will reintroduce apples and see. B. Many times after the body has healed somewhat these foods are better tolerated. Or I am not going to tolerate sulfites. I am not sure at this point. > If you used to have headaches preSCD and they > stopped once you > staretd the diet the introduction of apples and > reemergence of > headaches signals that there could be something > about apples you > don't tolerate now. The headaches have gone away now, and I am still eating applesauce, but perhaps it is the sugar. I got very tired for a few days and I needed much more sleep as well. I'm starting to come out of that now. B.
