Guest guest
Hi, I've just joined EPP (Expert Patients' Project). At least, I think that's what the second " P " stands for!I must check again! It's an American project but, of course, I've joined the UK branch. I'm following a six week online self-teaching course. It's for people with chronic conditions or illnesses of all sorts and its aim is to help them to become " expert " at managing all aspects of their health, symptoms, medication, fitness levels, fears, pain etc. and other more problems associated with the condition such as mobility, coping with diets etc. I've completed the first week. It's interesting and brings me into touch with others who are facing similar problems, but not the same, as myself. Good for me, I think! I hope it will help me and enable me to support others as well. It's being supported by the NHS at the moment. Good wishes to all, Fliss (UK)
Guest guest
Fliss, Strange, if it's an American project, why isn't it more well known? I've never heard of it, and would love to be a participant in something as informative and helpful as that. Kudo's for your involvement! I'm sure it's interesting and you'll be an apt pupil. Opportunities like that don't come often, and I'm sure you'll gain some valuable knowledge and benefits from your participation. With love, hope and prayers, Heidi Heidi H.
