Guest guest
Hi everyone, Good to be back. I think Fliss and Chrissy mentioned what had happenend to me. I have just spent 7 weeks in hospital. Another small bowel obstruction caused by adhesions, which required surgery to correct (same thing happened about 12 months ago - had TP in 2000). I also have liver problems, but i don't know what is going on yet. Had lots of bloods taken, and waiting to see the hepatologist. For now, i have had to give in, and take regular analgesia. I'm on 25mcg Fentanyl patches and the 200mcg Fentanyl lozenges. Sue (UK)
Guest guest
Sue, Fliss did keep us informed about your hospitalization, and boy, was it ever a long one!! You must be so glad to be home again! has had her share of troubles with adhesions, and I hope that her problems never get to be the kind of problems that you've experienced. We're so glad to see you back and on your feet again. You deserve a long rest after such an ordeal, and I do hope that you get it, and won't have to dash back to work too soon. Try to just take things one day at a time and to not overdo. Take good care and be well. Keep us updated on your progress when you feel up to it. With love, hope and prayers, Heidi Heidi H. Guest guest
Hi Sue. I am so glad to see you posting. It has been along time and you had a long long hospital stay. Boy that would drive me bonkers. I hope you continue to feel better each day. When do you see the liver doc? I have not been getting on the computer much as I have not been feeling well. Seems like any amount of exertion wipes me out. I will have surgery on Dec 1. Open hernia repair with laporascopic assisted enterolysis. I should only be inthe hospital about 3 days. I have to go in tomorrow for some more tests, so hopefully everything will be ok. Take care and dont try to do too much. Whats going on with your job? Are they holding it for you. Here we have FMLA and they can hold your position for 12 weeks and then after that it is up to them to hire somebody else or save it for you. You can sometimes get an extension under certain circumstances. I think I once extended to 18 weeks; but when I returned it was evident I could not perfomr my duties. Well take care and keep in touch. Warmly, Chrissy
