Guest guest
Fliss, Thanks for your comments. Old age is the pits, that's for sure! Alwayssomething breaking down, falling apart or exploding! The cortisone shot really worked, my left thumb is working pretty well, only hurts with certain maneuvers, and feels practically like normal. I hate to say it, but when I woke this morning my RIGHT wrist was sore......I felt like screaming. I did one of the hand tests that the orthopedic doctor had done on the left hand last week, where the hand is pushed back toward the elbow. It's a test that if it hurts, the reaction shows it's indicative of carpel tunnel. When I did this test it hurt like the dickens. I immediately sought out my right hand splint and have been wearing that all day. I assume it's acting up because I've used it so much more, compensating for the loss of the use of my left. Seems you just can't win anymore!! My therapy appointment is for Thursday afternoon, now I'll have plenty of complaints to keep the therapist busy! I hope you're doing better than this, Fliss, and keep on doing so. I guess the next thing you'll need to be looking out for is diabetes, with your long history with CP, you've been blessed to not have to deal with that already! Take care and be well.
