Guest guest
I too have had stents in my panc.. I always ended up in the hospital. My feeling about stenting letting it stay in for a while, then having an ERCP eventually gets to you mentally. The DR.'s all say it's so easy, but I have woken up during an ERCP, I have had the ERCP cause more trauma to my pancreas etc..The less intrusive things can be the better the chance on keeping one's mental stability, stay off of pain meds, and most of all save the pancreas. Your daughter is so young. This just my opinion not advice. You can take it or leave it I wish you all the best Paget
Guest guest
Paget, Thank you for replying. I agree that this is mentally as well as physically debilitating. My daughter is one of those naturally happy, optimistic people who honestly believes that what doesn't kill you makes you stronger. Her youth and overall general health should stand her in good stead as she confronts this challenge. I don't know where she gets her brain chemistry...not from me..I usually figure that what doesn't kill you, just makes you wish you were dead. Oh well, that's the difference that 32 years will make. Wishing you the best, L > > I too have had stents in my panc.. I always ended up in the hospital.
