I wanted to post a note to everyone to let you know how Brock is

doing. We were married on August 12th and were very glad to get

that over and done with. We both felt a huge amount of pressure

taken off of us when the Bishop said I now pronounce you man and

wife.

Brock is doing so well! He has not been hospitalized for 4 months,

nor has he had any ER visits that have required narcotics during the

past 4 month. He has worked closely with his pain doctor and has

been very successful in tapering his dosage of oxycodone. He no

longer requires pain medication everyday, and when he does need to

take it, he no longer requires large doses. That is a major

achievement for Brock. He is awake, active, gaining weight and

building his strength up to return to the work force. I am so proud

of him.

I really believe that the Frey Procedure he had done in January is

what has helped subside his pancreatitis.

I wanted to thank everyone who gave me advice and helped me to have

the courage to really involve myself in Brock's " medication issues "

and to better understand pancreatitis. I would not have been able

to make it through all of the issues that we faced had I not been

able to talk with all of you. I am grateful that there are resources

out there such as this group. I felt very alone when Brock was

first diagnosed and didn't know anything about this disease, until I

found this group.

I'm sure that our battle with pancreatitis is not over, nor will it

ever be over. We are just taking it one day at a time and thank our

Heavenly Father for all the good days Brock has. We never thought

that he would have any, but he has had so many.

Thanks again for all of your advice and support.

Sam,

That is amazing! I know you must feel like you are floating on a cloud! I

was very concerned about him when you wrote about how he was doing before and

all of the meds he was taking and all of those visits to the ER. Hopefully the

worst is behind him! Congratulations!!!
